Buildings in the city have to meet certain standards to ensure they are safe for everyone. You can report buildings that are in poor condition or that you don't think are meeting these standards below. Please only report issues related to the condition of the structure here. For issues with the condition of rental properties, please Report an Issue with Rental Housing.
Complete the brief form below to let us know about this issue.
Report an Issue with a Building or Structure
After reporting an issue with a building or structure, an inspector will visit the property within three days. If it is found to be in violation of city ordinance, we will provide a violation notice to the property owner and provide them time to address the issue. This is typically 30 days but can vary on a case-by-case basis. It is our intent to work with the owner to bring the property back up to code. If the property owner does not the correct the issue in the time provided, enforcement may continue and eventually could result in legal action against the owner.
You can report this issue by calling 311 or (269) 337-8000.
