The Single Audit is a comprehensive financial statement and federal awards audit that is required because the City receives more than $750,000 of federal awards in a year. This audit is intended to ensure that the City is using its federal funds correctly and is compliance with the requirements and regulations of the federal awards. In addition, the Single Audit covers the operations of the entire entity and has additional audit requirements that extend beyond normal Government Auditing Standards.
