Non-essential offices will be closed Thursday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. Regular hours will resume Friday, July 5.
The scheduled for this project has been updated. Work is now scheduled to begin in July. It will still be completed before WMU resumes classes in the fall.
This project is primarily a resurfacing of Howard Street from Stadium Drive to W Michigan Avenue, but it includes a number of other elements as well:
Estimated construction cost is $724,400. A Federal grant will cover $473,600 and the remaining $248,400 will be covered by the City’s major streets fund. The project will begin shortly after WMU’s spring commencement with completion expected before the fall semester begins.
