The Kalamazoo Institute of Arts is hosting Art Against Hunger, a food drive in partnership with Panera Bread. The food drive will benefit Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes.
The kick-off of the fundraiser will take place at Friday’s Art & All That Jazz (5-7 p.m.) at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts. Panera Bread’s Brian Campbell will present Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes with a check for funds raised through Operation Dough-Nation Community Breadbox™. (photo opportunity and a chance to interview representatives from all three parties involved with Art Against Hunger: Panera Bread, Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes, and the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts.)
Guests who donate a non-perishable food item will receive free admission to an Art & All That Jazz event (October 16 and November 20). Food collection will take place now until November 30th in the KIA lobby.

The Kalamazoo Institute of Arts has been fortunate to receive strong support from the community. In turn, we aim to use that good fortune by helping other organizations that need a boost. Now, more than ever, Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes is in dire need of community support to fill their pantries to feed needy families through the holiday season. Our goal is to help Loaves & Fishes put food on the table for as many Michigan families as possible this holiday season. We encourage everyone in Southwest Michigan to “get their can to the KIA” and help those hardest hit by the recession.
The Kalamazoo Institute of Arts is hosting Art Against Hunger, a food drive in partnership with Panera Bread. Called Art Against Hunger, the drive collects non-perishable food items for Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes. Donating is easy! Simply bring a canned good or non-perishable food item to the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts and you will receive a ticket for free admission to Art & All That Jazz, an evening of music, art and mingling held on November 20th at the KIA. Collection bins are set up in the KIA lobby. Donations will be accepted now through November 30.
