Parks Book CoverThe Friends of Recreation present an 80-page history of the City of Kalamazoo's Parks, from 1854 to the present.

It includes historic photos, current photos, maps, descriptions, how the park was acquired, when acquired, acreage, usage, naming and history. All parks, past and present are included.

The book is authored by City of Kalamazoo Records & Information Manager, John Urschel, and researched in the City's Records Center Archives.

Cost: $19.95 plus tax. By mail $25.00 including tax and S&H.

All proceeds enrich the Municipal Recreation Endowment Fund.
