Strategic Vision Adoped!

The Imagine Kalamazoo 2035 Strategic Vision was adopted by City Commission on October 19, 2026. Created through thousands of community contributions, it outlines shared priorities to guide City services, policies, and investments over the next decade. Now work will shift to the Master Plan, which will turn the Strategic Vision into actionable strategies, projects, and policies. A draft of the Master Plan is expected to be ready for community review in early 2027.

The City of Kalamazoo is creating a new Master Plan and Strategic Vision and we need your voice to help shape it! Building on the success of the Imagine Kalamazoo 2025 process, which was completed in 2017 with nearly 100% of its actions completed or in progress, we’re looking ahead to the future. This is more than just planning, it’s about creating a shared vision for Kalamazoo driven by the ideas and input of residents, businesses, community groups, and stakeholders like you.
